I just made my first finger hoop and its got an LED!

I have been making LED hula hoops for a while now and I finally made one tiny enough to spin on my finger. I love the way the LED light trails in a spiral. Check out the video.

Hello Finger Hoopers!

Hooping.org has been restructured, redesigned and relaunched and I invite you all to stop by and check it out. There's more information about what's been going on posted there, and now that I'm doing this solo as well (Vera stepped down in February) I'd also like to invite you all to contribute your writing, photos, thoughts, videos and more. I welcome your talent and input in keeping this almost four-year-old world-wide community hooping project alive. Like an intensive article on the fine art of finger hooping would rock my world. Seriously! With photos. Anybody?

HOOPERS OF THE WORLD, the feature film HOOP A Revolution of Sorts
(www.Hoopthemovie.com) is looking for digital video footage (mini-dv) of
Hoopers from all over the United States and the World to represent hooping’s
far-reaching potential. While hooping please say: I am hooper (in as many
different languages as you are comfortable speaking in).
While hooping (please, no music) can you respond to the following questions
(please always include a context to what you are saying, make sure we know
with each answer that you are talking about hooping):
What is a hooper?
Why hoop?
AND if groups of people are getting together in your community to hoop would
you please film that also.
In order for us to be able to include what you film, we need you to print
out from our website an individual release form and sign it:

the alex gray festival is apparently going to be friday-sunday, july 22, 23, 24...i am going to head to nyc on friday after work, and drive there on friday night and stay over the night and saturday night...then back to brooklyn for another party called zen II on sunday night...any and all who would like to join my caravan is absolutely invited. tickets for the alex gray thing are available on his website....its the chapel of sacred mirrors (cosm) site...you can google it, but ill post it later, just cant think of it off hand. there is going to be all sorts of crazy fire performance there, so bring all your shit. and apparently he is setting up a full size trapeeze tent for attendees to play on. the only shitty thing is that it is 50 bucks or something for the weekend, but according to andrea (a friend of mine who works at the gallery with him), it is going to worth it. (breakfasts are included :))
i want to see all of your smiling faces there...miss you guys.

I am going to be in the city for numerous events, that i would love for you all to participate in....from thursday july 21st to monday july 25th....

THURSDAY: BIG SUMMER CLASSIC. (claire- this may interest you...) this is a "jam band" thing....new monsoon, string cheese incident, keller williams, yonder mt. string band, spearhead, and umphreys mcgee is playing somewhere in brooklyn.

FRIDAY: Alex Gray has *personally* invited me and whomever i may like to bring along for some good fire play and general transcendance to his private COSM event in the woods in upstate NYC. my friend works at his gallery, and says this is an invite that should NOT be turned down. anyone who wants to come, reagan and i are definately going. please join us.

SUNDAY: ZEN II, or livetronica, hosted by chillpromotions.com, is throwing an indoor club style festival with live electronic music. it looks awesome. check it out at www.chillpromotions.com. it is being held at Spirit, NY.

So, that is the crazy weekend i have planned. any and all who would like to put me up during that time would be much appreciated. I look forward to my NYC weekends...and, Reagan, this could definately count as a quarterly.
